VIKING 11 is a Command Post Exercise/Computer Assisted Exercise in the “Spirit of Partnership for Peace”. Previous VIKING-exercises have been stated as the premier Multinational and Comprehensive Approach exercise in the world.
The VIKING 11 Exercise is the sixth in the series which started in 1999, initially demonstrated at the
50th anniversary of NATO in Washington DC in April 1999.
The Exercise is built on a fictitious scenario, BOGALAND, involving several countries in deep crisis in the need of Joint Combined Civilian and Military Peace Support.
